Photographer Peter Hoffman created an abstract photo series titled “Fox River Derivatives” which questions our relationship with our natural resources. Hoffman shot the photos with a medium format camera before coating the negatives in gasoline and setting them on fire.
“I wanted to transfer that feeling I had, which was maybe something like a sense of powerlessness or dread, to the image making process. I wanted to lose control.”
